About us

The Student Piano Club Munich was founded in 2025 by piano-loving students from a wide range of subjects, and is a student group accredited by both LMU and TUM.

Many students have no way to practise regularly or to talk to others about playing. That is exactly what we offer – and more:

Access to practice rooms
Opportunities to perform
Community and exchange

By now the society has around 40 members, united by their love of playing the piano.

Two young people at a piano in a room, one standing, one seated at the keys.

Four young people stand beside a piano, listening attentively while another plays.

A man plays the piano on stage during a concert, against a white background.

Thanks to our partners, we can currently offer our members pianos and grand pianos to practise on every week, at several locations across Munich.

On top of that we hold piano evenings every month, usually a “Composer Appreciation”, where members play pieces by one particular composer and then get together to talk about the composer, the music and much more.

And every semester we put on at least one public concert of varied piano music, to which absolutely everyone is warmly invited!
